Dear friends and alumni of the Skyline Adventure School,

We hope each one of you is doing well and 2007 is shaping up to be a great year. Over the past few seasons we have received many requests for a newsletter to help keep everyone updated on what’s happening in the Cordillera Blanca and what's new with the Skyline Adventures team. Well, the waiting is finally over… We are proud to present our first Newsletter, that which we shall fondly refer to as "The Windsock".

SUMMER 2007 FEATURED TRIP:

Family Adventures - Trips With Kids

Cole Cameron Alexander joined the Skyline Adventure team on January 25, 2006. At four months old, Cole had already begun to strike out to the hills for a taste of adventure (supervised of course). The trips were such fun that the idea came about to run “Trekking for Families” in the 2007 season.

If you know any one who is looking for some family fun, this might just be the thing for them. The trip will be 10 days, airport to airport with a 4 day trek in the mountains surrounding Huaraz. Participants must be at least 912.5 days old, or 30 months, or 2.5 years (whichever comes first) and accompanied by an adult. Each child will have his or her very own donkey or llama to ride if needed during the trek. In evenings there will be activities to keep everyone happy and engaged - A great time for parents to connect with other like-minded parents and kids. For more information, visit our website or send us an email.

We congratulate two-time client Mike Horgan on his recent marriage and great honeymoon adventures in the mountains and wine-tasting establishments of New Zealand.

OFF-SEASON ADVENTURES OF SKYLINE GUIDES:

It often is quite hard to keep up with some of these folks as they bounce around the globe in search of their own challenges and fun. Still, we managed to track down Tyler Anderson and asked him for a brief update:

"I left Huaraz after doing some great exploring around the Cordillera Blanca to spend a month in Ecuador .  I
climbed near Cuenca and Quito , mostly rock but also did a few peaks including Illiniza, Sur and Norte.  Then
I headed up to Colombia for some more rock climbing, mostly in Suesca, northof Bogota .  Some great climbing!!!
Then 2.5 weeks in el Cocuy National Park in the north of Colombia near Venezuela – a pristine area with a snowy
range of mountains and many beautiful rock walls.  My partner and I climbed two very long established routes and
then put up a new one on the 500-meter virgin east face of ‘Pan De Azucar’. This took us 5 days in total and was
absolutely amazing!”

Go Tyler ! Thanks for the update.
